What I Love About Where I live – With The Craft Coop

Art Competition - What I live About Where I Live

·         Craft Coop Camberley, in partnership with Surrey Heath Borough Council, are organising a creative project to encourage local people, regardless of age and ability, to create a piece of art that represents what they love about where they live.

·         It is free to enter either as a group or individual, using any art technique you like (even recycled materials)

·         The winners will be on display in Camberley for a month and in our online gallery – each category is sponsored by a local business who are providing funds for age appropriate prizes for each winner and runner up.

·         Launching on 29th May 2023 there are four age categories:

o   Preschool

o   Primary – up to end of Year 6

o   Secondary – up to end of Year 13

o   Adult

·         Entries can be brought into Craft Coop Camberley (situated in Grace Reynolds Walk next to Waterstones) before the closing date – 29th August 2023.
Please remember to include your name, category and contact details with it.

·         We are planning a small celebratory awards event with our sponsors to announce the winner at the end of September 2023 (date and time to be announced)

We really hope you will participate in this community project – creativity is known to improve brain function, increase positive emotions, reduce anxiety and boost mental and physical health and this is something we at Craft Coop are keen to promote.
