Our Key Objectives for 2016 – 2021

Structured alliances with key stakeholders and external organisations, to be included in decision-making within Camberley Town Centre, such as planning, licencing, signage / access, parking, alterations to the towns look and feel whilst representing the best interests of the BID businesses.  Private sector focus on increasing additional income through Local Enterprise Partnerships, external sponsorship and increasing voluntary contributions.

Continue to promote Camberley Town Centre as a destination of choice for shoppers and visitors as well as a vibrant location for businesses and residents alike. Deliver an effective marketing plan to highlight Camberley to new visitors and support BID businesses across all sectors. Respond to changing consumer habits and drive footfall and awareness for daytime, evening and night-time economies.

Deliver an effective and creative annual events programme encouraging new visitors to the town and creating promotional opportunities for BID businesses. To facilitate opportunities for new visitors to come to Camberley with the view of becoming a returning customer.

An enhanced relationship with BID businesses to ensure they are receiving maximum opportunities for growth with the BID. To identify new opportunities, schemes or support for BID businesses of all sectors. Work closely with key BID stakeholders, plus Surrey Chambers, LEPs and external organisations to promote Camberley as a key place to do business within Surrey.

Continue to reinforce the day and evening, security and safety programme via the CTAC scheme whilst enhancing the relationship with Surrey Heath Police. Further enhance the presentation of our town centre through proactive initiatives such as additional deep street cleaning, signage, street art installations, where needed and based on additional external income being secured.  Support a welcoming town through changes to the Christmas Lights and floral displays.

We see ourselves as objective representatives of the towns private sector business community, working in partnership with our key stakeholders to achieve outcomes, in collaboration, that refine and improve what cannot be achieved alone.

Steve Coburn, Chairman, Collectively Camberley says:

“In a year where all businesses, and in particular the UK’s High Streets, have faced a lot of uncertainties and challenges, it’s been really pleasing to see that Collectively Camberley continues to make a real difference to our Town Centre. I’ve been proud to work with the BID Team and the many volunteers from our town’s vibrant business community to deliver some really exciting initiatives in Camberley.  It’s thanks to this hard work that we’ve been able to achieve so much this year. I look forward to working with you to make next year even better. Thank you for your support.”
