A unique support programme for those in self isolation and the isolated, has been launched in Surrey Heath.

In these uncertain times, many members of the community may need help when it comes to essential items such as prescriptions, shopping or even a friendly voice to speak to.

The dedicated website (surreyheath-prepared.uk) ultimately connects those who may need help and those who are willing to provide it.

Mike Thomason, Minister at High Cross Church: “It was clear that COVID-19 was escalating, and we wanted to be able to act fast and offer our support to the residents of Surrey Heath. We’re truly astounded with the support and kindness from the community and it’s times like this that the community really does rally together. What is amazing is that faith and community groups are pulling together across Surrey Heath to support our communities.”

James Robinson, CBE added: “It’s inspiring to see so many people from our community work so closely together and effectively in these troubled times. However, we still desperately need donations to ensure the vulnerable and elderly are supported. Camberley Cricket Club is now designated drop-off donation points and if you can donate, we’d be truly grateful.”
