Black History Month Storytime with Portia Mushambi at Camberley Library

Black History Month Storytime with Portia Mushambi
Saturday 21 October, from 2pm to 2.45pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
Join author Portia Mushambi (pen name SP K-Mushambi), for this interactive musical storytelling session, for children aged 3 to 7 years.

Come and have some fun, hear "Tarirai's Choice" story, meet the big safari five, then have a go at creating your own rhythm with musical instruments and a colouring activity.

Portia Mushambi, born in England and raised in Zimbabwe, is happiest when she is creating. It could be writing a song, baking a yummy cake. She believes that literature and media that reflect our stories, our experiences and our images are essential for inspiring self-esteem and a sense of belonging.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking necessary: please purchase a ticket for each person attending. No ticket needed for babes in arms.

There is a suggested donation of £4 per ticket.

Books will be on sale after the session, cash only.
