The Autism Trust – Polly’s Place

The Autism Trust is a training centre for young people with autism, 16 years and above, to help them learn independent living and employability skills. Part of their work experience includes training in ‘Polly’s Place’ gift shop and art gallery to gain experience in a real working environment. Why not visit Polly’s Place (opposite B&M), where you’ll find unique gifts, artwork, cards, tags and bags all made by some with autism, their family or supporters and show them how much you care.

We also hold monthly coffee mornings for parents and supporters, to come and share information and gain support. For children with autism we hold two activity days, three times a year, during the Easter holidays, summer holidays and autumn half term. One day is a Lego Club and the other day a Craft Club. Details of all our events can be found on our Facebook page under events. We also offer free 1 hour Parent to Parent support meetings at our premises outside of our normal training hours, providing independent support and advice.
