On Saturday 14th December, families at The Square were treated to a magical surprise with Bjorn the animatronic Polar Bear meeting the children of Camberley.

Crowds turned out in force to meet the lifelike polar bear, who prowled around the shopping centre with his herder.

Families had the chance to not only get up close to Bjorn, but to learn all about polar bears and their habitats.

Bjorn’s appearance proved to be a great success, with families stunned to see how realistic the bear really was with movements including eye blinking, mouth movements and live sounds.

Joana Santos, Interim Centre Manager at The Square Camberley, said: “It was great to welcome Bjorn here to The Square, offering families something really magical at this special time of year. Families can also enjoy taking part in a host of free activities this weekend, including making their own light up snowman, Reindeer food and Santa Stop signs.”
