A roarsome summer is stomping its way to Camberley town centre

The Square and The Atrium shopping centres, located in the heart of Camberley town centre, have announced a plan to collaborate alongside Collectively Camberley BID this summer, to provide dino-mite fun for local families.

Guests to the shopping centres are invited to head back in time for a ‘Jurassic Camberley’ summer throughout the school holidays, with free events for families to enjoy just in time for the return of the popular Jurassic World franchise. At the heart of the fun will be The Square’s Dinosaur Trail, running from Saturday 26th July to Saturday 23rd August. The fun and education trail will feature mind-blowing animatronic dinosaurs, set to capture the imagination of young explorers – who can pick up a trail guide to begin their adventure at the Customer Service Desk.

Once participants have visited all locations and answered the pre-historic quiz, they can submit their form back at the Customer Service Desk to be entered to WIN a £250 Love Camberley gift card to spend in the town. There will also be a range of social media competitions to enjoy on The Square’s platforms, including a photo competition for the chance to win a £100 Love Camberley gift card.

The arrival of Jurassic Camberley marks the second collaboration between both shopping centres, with Centre Manager Gavin Vidler of The Square and Ray Walker of The Atrium uniting forces after the success of their Alice’s Camberley Adventure, to provide event more free family fun to the area.

Gavin Vidler, Centre Manager for The Square Camberley, commented “It’s set to be a roarsome summer to remember here in Camberley! We are looking forward to joining forces with The Atrium and Collectively Camberley to provide our community with some fantastic free events to keep the children occupied throughout the school holidays – with friendly and ferocious dinosaurs to see and amazing prizes to be won! This is a great way to showcase all that we have to offer here in the town, and we can’t wait to welcome you.”

The Atrium will be joining in the pre-historic fun with a series of free activities to enjoy from Saturday 19th July to Saturday 2nd August, with everything from digging for fossils, volcano-themed playdough fun and even a roaming dinosaur day to kick things off – the perfect accompaniment to a trip to watch Jurassic World Rebirth at Vue!

Ray Walker, Centre Manager for The Atrium, commented “It’s great to once again be teaming up to deliver memorable free events, this time spanning throughout the summer holidays. Join in the fun with our series of events, bringing to life the adventure of Jurassic World Rebirth – with tickets now available to pre-book at Vue. For a full line-up of our activities, head over to our website!”

Collectively Camberley will also be joining the fun with return of their popular Car Show on Saturday 9th August, with 250 vehicles showcased throughout the town centre. There will also be free family entertainment to enjoy including face painting and balloon modelling, with live music to enjoy for an electric atmosphere.

The Square will also be joining the fun with the iconic Jurassic Park Jeep available to view in Central Square for the one day only. Visitors can also speak to the promotional staff on the day and answer a car-related question to be entered to win an epic driving experience, with 2 adult and 2 child experiences up for grabs in the prize draw!

Luke Lloyd of Collectively Camberley commented, “Our Car Show is always a day to remember, and this year is set to be no different! Whether you’re a car fanatic or just looking to soak up the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus don’t forget to grab a photo at the memorable Jurassic Park jeep, for your own movie moment, at The Square! For more information, don’t forget to visit our website.”
