Pulau Ubin
Just a ten-minute boat ride from mainland Singapore, Pulau Ubin is like a whole new world! Once you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time…and it’ll open your eyes to how Singapore looked in times gone by. The beautiful and tranquil island has an extensive marine wildlife, a visit to Chek Jawa Wetlands is perfect for those wanting to explore and meet some of the local residents! Rent a bicycle during your stay and you’ll discover the island’s rich ecosystem, traditional houses and lush surroundings that you wouldn’t see on foot (there are plenty of bicycle trails, so you’ll be spoilt for choice)!

Chinatown
With culture bursting onto the streets and the fragrant smells of traditional cuisine, this corner of the city is a must-visit. You will find cultural-harmony at its strongest; be sure to pay a visit to Sri Mariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Jamae Mosque; you’ll be dazzled by the intricate detail of each place of worship and diverse influences located next door to each other on the same stretch of road.

Haji Lane
Hidden within the heart of Singapore’s historical Arab Quarter, Haji Lane is full of beautiful boutiques, craft shops, heritage stores, cafes and bars…that you must try! Many consider Haji Lane to be the hip and indie neighbourhood, with its brightly coloured shops all along the street which will draw you in from the moment you arrive. So go on, take a pit stop here and soak up the wonderful atmosphere, you may even find yourself ordering a ‘selfie coffee’.

Gardens by the Bay
This futuristic park offers the best green space to overlook Marina Bay, with an array of activities for both adults and children, including an impressive skywalk over the gardens and over-sized seashell-shaped greenhouses, which have hundreds of trees and plants to discover inside! Don’t miss the Garden Rhapsody Lightshow while you’re here – the free show takes place nightly, at 19.45 & 20.45, in Supertree Grove.

Street food heaven
If you’re a foodie, you’ve come to the right place! Everything and anything’s available in Singapore, but we recommend you tuck into delicacies such as Hainanese chicken rice, considered one of Singapore’s national dishes, and Laksa – a distinctive coconut-based noodle soup that will be sure to tickle your taste buds. If you’re eager to learn about the local cuisine and tantalise your senses, opt for an after-dark food tour. You’ll take to the streets and be shown where the locals dine…we highly recommend it!

Clarke Quay
As well as hosting some of Singapore’s best nightlife scenes, historic riverside area, Clarke Quay has a wonderful selection of restaurants right on the water’s edge, where you can dine al fresco and soak up the lively atmosphere around you. Bliss! There’s no excuse not to get stuck in with the local nightlife after dining too, as it’s right on your doorstep at Clarke Quay.

Michelin star cuisine
Many know Singapore for its top Michelin starred establishments – and we can see why, as thirty-nine restaurants received the sought-after grading in 2018, so there’s plenty of choice, from hawker stalls to haute cuisine, if you’d like to treat yourself. Whatever food you’re craving, leave some space for the list of must try dishes such as Tai Hwa’s Pork Noodle or Hawker Chan’s Soya Sauce Chicken (both awarded Michelin stars). Singapore has something to suit every palate. The difficult part is choosing which dish to try first!

Lively nightlife
Not only is Singapore famed for its foodie scene but socialising is a big way of life, and Singapore’s cocktail bars are home to some amazing talent. From trendy rooftop bars with incredible city views (1-Altitude is a favourite of ours) to five bars listed by The World’s 50 Best Bars 2018 including Asia’s Best Bar (Manhattan). If you want to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring, we know you will be spoilt for choice.

Grand Prix Season Singapore
Every September, the most highly anticipated event of the year arrives – Grand Prix Season Singapore. Of course, the highlight is the racing, but there’s plenty of other fun and games to join in with too, including live music performances and virtual reality simulations as the Formula 1 season comes to town. Be sure to book up quickly if you wish to visit during the Formula 1 – as it can be busier than other times of the year.
